McDonald's Alumni Dr. Haley Boswell, DVM Helps Save IMPD K9 at IndyVet

Dr. Haley Boswell, DVM, was recently honored as part of the team from IndyVet Emergency Veterinarian Hospital who helped save Indianapolis Metro Police Department K9 officer Ringo following a life-threatening stabbing. The team was recently reunited with Ringo during an appreciation ceremony. 

"We had a K9 police officer coming and he had been stabbed," said Dr. Boswell. "We knew as a team that this was going to be a team effort and we had to be ready for him...we got to be a hero to a hero, and not many veterinarians get that opportunity." 

Dr. Boswell grew up working at McDonald's and her parents, Wally and Deb Nowakowski, own and operate local McDonald's restaurants across southern Indiana and Illinois. 

"Proud is an understatement," said her father Wally Nowakowski. "She is a shining example of compassion, perseverance, and determination that could be credited in part to her foundation under the Golden Arches."
